Our Objectives

To provide an opportunity for members to become acquainted with others in the community by providing an atmosphere of friendliness and welcome.
To provide helpful information for club members.
To undertake and promote charitable and humanitarian projects within the community.
To form enduring friendships.

 General Meeting 

Our May General Meeting is our wonderful Girl's Night Out at the Odyssey Restaurant in St. Charles. Not only will we be able to enjoy a fabulous dinner but also we will be entertained by the song stylings of Jeorge Holmes.

Also, remember your donations to support Living Well's free program.  For the May meeting, they are requesting us to bring plastic tablecloths, assorted spices, sea salt and pepper. Gift cards to Target, and/or Bed, Bath & Beyond will also be appreciated.

Newsletter

Submissions for each newsletter must be received in writing by the 7th of each month in order to be in the next edition.

 

 

Membership

Our club members live in Illinois' Fox Valley. Some of the communities represented are  St. Charles, Geneva, Batavia, Aurora,  and Elgin. 

Club dues are  $25 for a club year membership (Sept. thru Aug.). Forms are available on request. Membership ensures participation in any club activities, receipt of the newsletter, and inclusion in the annual Directory, if paid by printing date. If you wish to receive the newsletter via US postal service, there is an additional $5 charge.  

Everyone is welcome at our general meetings. In addition,  we have club activities for singles and couples. We enjoy games and trips and social get-togethers. 

Philanthropy

Our member ship voted Living Well Cancer Resource Center   as our charity for the 2011-2012 club year.  We are supporting them by participating in the Bridge Walk on Saturday, May 19, 2012. All Welcome Club members are asked to register  to walk with our team or to make a donation. 

In addition to the Bridge Walk we are participating in a fundraiser on July 8 featuring the  Fox Valley Repertory presentation of "Some Enchanted Evening." 

The website calendar is the place to look for  last minute changes in club activities.

The April Lite Lunch will be held at noon  on Wednesday, April 18th  at Sue L.'s home in North Aurora. Our June Lite Lunch is scheduled for the 13th at Linda S.'s home. Please RSVP to Gail T. or to the hostess.

The final Breakfast Club of the current club year will be 9AM on May 16th at Atwater's in the Herrington in Geneva. Please RSVP to Sara H. or Donna N.

The Out & About Group will visit the Morton Arboretum on the 23rd of May. Please RSVP to Gail T. if you plan to attend.
